Altec Lansing’s inMotion iM3

    by Dana McCoy

    September 1, 2005

The Altec Lansing iM3 is a must have for any iPod user who travels - whether it be from state to state, country to country, or room to room within your own home.  This unit is a wonder - excellent sound quality, very compact (takes up hardly any space in your suitcase), and stylish, too.

I set this up in my mom’s hospital room (with some of her favorites playing), and the nurses loved to come in and enjoy a break from the hum of hospital machinery.  Later at home we played it around the clock for days.  Pricewise, this unit is comparable to other high end brands, but it’s quality of sound, portability, and size make it a favorite.

Altec Lansing currently offers three iPod entries, the iMplus, iM3, and iM7.  Of the three, the iMplus is the one that everyone is knocking off, the iM7 provides the most power in what appears to be a boom box package, but the iM3 is my personal favorite, the most cosmetically appealing with sound enough for almost any environs.

You can buy the iM3 on Altec Lansing's website for $179.95.  For more information, visit:
